Trafalgar Place

- Residential Developments
Trafalgar Place is a residential-led scheme offering 235 homes comprising a mixture of tenure types in the heart of the Elephant and Castle area of London.
The project is the first phase of delivery for the much wider Heygate Estate regeneration project that will transform the built environment whilst respecting the history of the neighbouring environment, and creating a strong sense of place.
Randle Siddeley, working alongside de Rijke Marsh Morgan Architects, were invited to complete the detailed landscape design by Lend Lease. The landscape detailing and design process was conducted to ensure an exemplary public realm and that private residential amenity spaces are of the maximum quality and environmental benefit.
The landscape masterplan has been developed as a framework divided into nine specific character areas to create a tapestry of green spaces, where each establishes a strong relationship to adjacent building and edges. These range from tree-lined residential streets offering a woodland walk experience, community gardens, food growing areas, extensive green and brown roofs to natural play areas and rain gardens.
