- Residential Developments
- Urban Locations
The client brief for this project was to produce a concept landscape masterplan for Marco Polo House located opposite Battersea Park on Queenstown Road in Battersea, London. It is located within the Greater London Authority's Vauxhall Nine Elms Battersea Opportunity Area (VNEBOA).
The site has a total land area of 1.27 hectares and the area is characterised to have high-density residential development with opportunities for improvement to the environment and improved site access. As part of the VNEBOA, we needed to ensure that the landscape masterplan considered the design of both private and public realm, ensuring improvement to the environment and accessibility to the site.
The concept design was to include the roof terraces and gardens, sunken garden space, treetop entrance walkway, private landscape gardens between buildings, public realm street landscape strategy, traffic and pedestrian circulation and hard landscape and planting.
