Lansdowne Walk, Holland Park
- Town Gardens
- Urban Locations
We were commissioned to transform what was an overgrown, yet somewhat threadbare in parts, city garden into a sophisticated oasis which was lusciously verdant by day and radiantly lit by night. The brief also added that the garden should provide exterior living space to entertain or just relax.
A new staircase has been introduced from thekitchen which leads to stepping stones to the lawn, culminating in a bespoke pergola space. This area focuses on an open fireplace, with comfortable sofas, and provides for an enjoyable al fresco experience.
The artistic highlight of the garden is a bespoke sculptural water feature set in a black granite infinity pool. This pool is furnished with fibre optic lights to illuminate the water as it cascades down stainless steel louvers. The water feature has been exclusively designed by Randle Siddeley, and set against a backdrop of tall grasses, hydrangeas and a new yew hedge, provides a fitting signature to this quintessentially London garden.
