The RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2024 was an unforgettable celebration of gardening brilliance, and one of the standout features was undoubtedly “The Botanical Treehouse.” This breathtaking collaboration between Randle Siddeley Limited and Blue Forest returned in splendour to Main Avenue, captivating visitors with its immersive blend of refined grown-up enchantment and botanical marvels.
Visitors embarked on a journey where nature met sophistication within “The Botanical Treehouse.” This exquisite two-story garden sanctuary invited guests to explore a tapestry of edible plants and aromatic botanicals, seamlessly enhancing its treehouse bar and entertainment deck. Rising majestically amidst silver birch trees and verdant garden foliage, the structure stood as a testament to innovative garden design.
Central to The Botanical Treehouse was a luxurious entertainment tower offering sweeping views across Main Avenue. Guests could unwind (or take shelter from the rain) and savoured artisanal botanical cocktails (or mocktails) from the adjacent outdoor bar, enveloped in the garden’s enchanting atmosphere. Beneath this tower lay a whimsical children’s retreat, a delightful hideaway featuring playful swings and vibrant interiors, ensuring a magical experience for visitors of all ages.
Celebrating Excellence: Five Stars and Best in Show
We are proud to reflect on our success at the Chelsea Flower Show 2024, where “The Botanical Treehouse” was honoured with Five Stars and Best in Show Trade Stand. This prestigious accolade recognised the hard work, dedication and creativity poured into every detail of our exhibit.
Yasmina’s Reflections: A Week at Chelsea
One of our landscape architects, Yasmina, had the incredible opportunity to spend the week at Chelsea, helping to build and perfect the garden. Here are her thoughts:
“I had the amazing opportunity to work at the Chelsea Flower Show on our stand. The experience of designing and installing the soft landscape planting beds surrounding the stunning treehouse exhibit was truly rewarding. The planting design was inspired by the natural, airy, and flowing essence of a forest. This vision was brought to life through a combination of lush greens, whites, and subtle hints of colour, creating a serene and natural ambiance.”
“The garden development process began with the careful placement of our specimen trees, which, due to their size, anchored the scheme and seamlessly integrated the two levels of the garden. On the ground floor, they stood high and majestic above you, evoking a sense of being on the edge of a woodland. However, when you ascended to the upper level, you found yourself amidst the tree canopy, offering a completely new and captivating perspective.”
“I vividly remember the setting out phase, where we meticulously positioned each plant, ensuring it looked as though it had always been there. Doing it all by hand was a workout, but it was worth every moment. Each plant was placed with care, and seeing the arrangement come together was incredibly satisfying.”
“This project came down to teamwork. Our team came together to create something truly special, and being part of that team was very fulfilling.”
