We are immensely grateful to all who joined us for our annual Clay Pigeon Shoot, a day filled with camaraderie, spirited competition, and unforgettable memories. The event was a tremendous success, and we hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did.
Supporting a Noble Cause
The Sunnyside Rural Trust holds a special place in our hearts. Their unwavering commitment to empowering and supporting vulnerable members of our community is nothing short of commendable. We received generous contributions during our event, which will make a significant impact on their ability to continue this vital work.
Sunnyside Rural Trust is a registered charity that supports young people and adults with learning disabilities by offering training and employment opportunities within a social enterprise setting. This encompasses everything from planting seeds and nurturing plants to producing goods for sale in the farm shop or at local markets. The main objective of fund-raising is to create a safe space to work from. The site will include a mess room, purpose-built glasshouse, level standing-out areas, and a composting area.
Making a Lasting Impact
While the therapeutic benefits of horticulture are clear and cut, the combination of this with a strong social enterprise model will ensure it is sustainable for the long term. This project will provide a space to heal and the opportunity to develop and gain paid employment. By supporting Sunnyside Rural Trust, we are contributing to the creation of this space where positive change can take root.
