London
Perched above Kensington High Street, The Roof Gardens have been reimagined as one of London’s most distinctive private members’ clubs. This historic Grade II-listed landmark combines its 1930s heritage with contemporary sophistication, offering a renewed sense of life and style high above the city.
Originally designed by Ralph Hancock, the gardens span almost an acre across three themed spaces – Spanish, Tudor, and English Woodland, each restored and enhanced to honour their legacy while embracing modern design.
RSL was commissioned to refine and evolve the scheme, ensuring a balance between historic character and contemporary vision. Our in-house construction team delivered the project with precision, craftsmanship, and respect for the site’s heritage.
Every material, plant, and detail was carefully chosen to honour the spirit of the original gardens while introducing a fresh, contemporary layer, ensuring the space feels both timeless and relevant today.
Now reopened as The Roof Gardens Members’ Club, the site offers fine dining, terraces, and secluded corners designed for connection and retreat – an iconic London destination reimagined for a new generation.
